Ali A. Mufuruki, 57 yrs, is Chairman & CEO, Infotech Investment Group LTD of Tanzania, a family business. He currently serves as chairman of the board of several companies in Tanzania and abroad including, Msingi East Africa LTD, Nairobi-Kenya; The CEOs’ Roundtable of Tanzania; TradeMark East Africa, Nairobi Kenya; Chai Bora Limited; AMSCO, Netherlands; Legacy Capital Partners LTD.
He also serves as Council Member and Chairman of Grants Committee, Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS); Chairman, Tanzania Public Safety Trust Fund; Partner, East Africa Capital Partners, Kenya; Trustee –Mandela Institute of Development Studies (MINDS), South Africa; Trustee – ATMS Foundation, Netherlands; Member of the Tanzania National Business Council (TNBC), ; Member of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Advisory Group on Sub-Saharan Africa (AGSA).
In early 2016, Ali Mufuruki was appointed Co-Chairman of the UK Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into impact of UK Aid for Africa Free Trade Initiative (AFTI)
He previously served as Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Tanzania Central Bank; Member of the Board Directors Technoserve, Inc. of Washington, DC; Board Member and Chairman of REMCO of Nation Media Group of Kenya, Chairman of Mwananchi Communications LTD and Chairman of Air Tanzanian Co LTD.
He is a Henry Crown Fellow of The Aspen Institute Class of 2001.
Founder and Chairman of The Africa Leadership Initiative (ALI) East Africa.
Mr. Mufuruki is a holder of a B.Sc. in Mechanical Design Engineering from the Reutlingen University, Germany,1986 and he lives in Dar-es-Salaam with his wife and four children.
